Assorted Gambian Batik Wall Hangings - Large
SKU: RB300
These beautiful depictions of Kabir's are amazing. Since 2007, we have sold hundreds of his works. Due to limited space with our new retail store layout, we are unable to showcase more than a few pieces at a time.
Each work of art is unique and individual. We will choose an excellent design for you. Customers have framed these, hung on bamboo wall hangers, made tablecloths, wrap skirts, purses and other creations from this amazing artwork. Artwork measures approx 48" x 24". Colors and scenes vary (sample shown).
Kabir DuBois is of Senegalese heritage currently living in The Gambia, West Africa. His talents are apparent in his work and he often employs the double-wax batik as he preserves snapshots of life in his region. Employing other apprentices now, they have increased their wages and regularly are afforded the luxury of taking a day off. Kabir enjoys fishing for red snapper off Africa's Atlantic Coast in the time he gets to enjoy thanks to fair trade purchases of his artwork.
